JMAE

About

Cinematic electronic pop for movement, memory, and escape.

JMAE began as a passion project — a songwriter and traveler turning travel memories into songs. Some are set in Milan or Lake Como, others in Segovia or a coastline back home — wherever the story is real. Every JMAE song starts with an actual place and ends up being about what it means to stay.

JMAE creates atmospheric electronic pop shaped by journeys, fleeting moments, and the emotional pull of elsewhere. Blending modern production with cinematic textures, each release invites listeners into places both remembered and imagined.

Away

Away, JMAE's debut EP, released July 16, 2026. Four songs written from four real trips: "Drive in Milan," "Ciao, Lake Como," "Come to Normandy," and "Let's Go to Bruges." The title is a small wink at the name itself — Jay-May, Away — and at what the whole project is really about: leaving, and what you bring back with you.

Inspired by journeys through Europe, each track captures a different emotional landscape: longing, intimacy, wonder, trust, and the bittersweet beauty of departure. From the quiet reverence of Normandy to the restless momentum of Milan, the rain-soaked romance of Bruges, and the golden euphoria of Lake Como, AWAY explores how certain places become inseparable from the people we were while we were there.

More than a travel soundtrack, AWAY is about what remains after we leave — the memories we carry, the love that steadies us, and the ways beautiful places continue to shape us long after we've gone.
